This call is open to feminist organizations working on advocacy of one or more of the 10 demands of the Beijing+25 Manifesto. Nalafem will be on advocacy missions to meet with stakeholders , advance accountability on B+25 manifesto, generation equality commitments  and support young feminist organizations.

Background

Nala Feminist Collective (Nalafem) is a multigenerational alliance of politicians and activists to
Foster, Embolden and Mobilize (FEM) women and girls from Africa and the Diaspora for transformative feminist change. We use multi-track diplomacy, advocacy and our united voice to bridge the gaps between policy and implementation. Nalafem is guided by Africa Young Women Beijing+25 Manifesto, a groundbreaking feminist political document that includes 10 Demands:

Economic Justice; Criminalize Gender-Based Violence; End Gender-Based Discrimination; Access to Justice and Protection; Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights; Mental Health and Well-Being, Inclusive; Equitable and Quality Education; Digital Justice; Silencing the Guns; and Intergenerational Co-Leadership.

ROLE OF PARTNER ORGANIZATION

  • Act as host organization during Nalafem delegation visit 
  • Help build Nalafem chapter in the country 
  • Coordinate meetings with key stakeholders during Nalafem missions
  • Organize engagements including youth town halls , young women roundtables, intergenerational dialogues, among other multistakeholder conversations 
  • Joint advocacy on advancing the country’s gender commitments
